OR/WA Day 1

Today was the start of a big day... however, Katie and I were rather relaxed. I woke up not super early where we drove to Dixon to meet with Katie. From there, we went back to Katie's house and took care of her animals and set up the carriers in the car... carriers, check. Pigs, check. Pig's veggies, check. We're on our way.

I'm not the biggest fan of Northern California... but the further up you go, the more I like it. Here are some pictures I catured going up.

Lake Shata! The water is so beautiful and crystal clear. I don't know why I haven't gone to swim there, yet!

Another mountain.

We know we are getting close to Oregon when we see the Dragon! I have to say, this is one of the most memorable things in my brain. I don't think I've laughed so hard before in my life when we first say this dragon. I'm happy we got a photo of it!

Surely enough, a breaking point, we entered Oregon! Oregon is very plain, simple, and full of TREES! Not exactly the prettiest trees... but trees. lol.

We drove and drove... stopped near Portland, which is less than an hour or so from the Washington border. Northeast Oregon was absolutely gorgeous! The trees were so vibrant in colors and healthy.

We at a Denny's, where Katie and I think "What are we doing?!" all over again. We just did this two years ago! And the anticipation to see a special friend the next day made it so real.

Is that who I thought it is in Leslie's hands!? Absolutely hilarious...I meant to say, "Where's the bunny that had the one night stand?"
