WCC "Knowledge Night" Holland Lops

I hope everyone is back home, safe, and resting from their long trips to Colubus, OH this weekend! I started fair today, and I'm still exhausted. I'm am though, very satisfied with what I have learned in the past month.

This is a post I hope Tim of Tru-Luv Rabbitry enjoys. Well respected Judge Chris Z. gave a presentation on Holland Lops at the West coast Classic "Knowledge Night". I absolutely LOVED it and tried to take pictures to show what I saw. Though this was minus Chris' oral speech, it still is a huge deal. I'm taking some of what I learned to my Fuzzy Lops, and yes, my Jersey Woolies too!

Here we go!

(look closely to see the red triangle that goes around the nose and between the eyes. If the length of the triangle across the eyes is widest, you have good head width.)

Photobucket
Don't let you excuse a bad head on a doe for being a doe. LOL.

Front to back width determines the width of ear openings.

Photobucket
Holland breeders struggle for good crowns. And upsets those when one with a misrepresented crown wins.

Obviously, these are long typed rabbits. The rabbit on the top left was said to be a National winning rabbit.

"Who says a holland can't have depth to equal width?"

Bone counts a lot in my book!

I believe she said one of those two were a National winner. It's not nessesarily a good thing.

End of presentation.

Chris did such a wonderful job. It's to bad she only had 15 minutes to talk! She covered so much and was very happy I attended the Conference, Chris is very enthusiastic and compassionate for Holland Lops.

Thought I'd share! :)

Susie,

Thank you so much. I learned a lot going through the photos! Really appreciate it for being thoughtful.

If only someone recorded that great 15 minutes on video and put it up on YouTube, it would be PERFECT!

I absolutely respect Chris Zemny and love her rabbits!

Awesome!
