Bad news, good news.

Yesterday was a terrible day for me. Everything baby wise was just going wrong. I lost my friend, WWR Polar Bear who has not appeared on this blog yet. He was about 3 weeks old, so sweet, so cuddly, so amazing of a rabbit. A male equivalent to Audrey, he was almost everything I could ask for. Not only this, my Kitty baby and last Sir Mix baby.

I guess there is some sort of sign to this. I figured it out late last night. Everybody who knew Polar Bear and his love for smell. He loved things that smelt good. I ate a Nutri-grain bar and ran up to my lips and bit them. He tried chewing my friend ship bracelets and dug at my shirt. He loved the sense of smell. He'd always be the one to stop and smell the flowers, I told everyone.

Last night I was thinking... how it relates. I think his passing was a sign, not to take life for granted. I wish he wouldn't have left, he was too young. I miss him already, typing, I get teary eyed.

It's been a looong time since I've been upset over the loss of a baby bunny. He was special, truly was something out of this world.

I wish I had a good picture of him. I'm going to upload the video I have of him though soon.

Abby had 2 DOA along with 2 of my Californian babies have died. I'm down to 5. I've fostered them to Kitty, I hope she accepts them. They looked fed this morning. Crossing fingers.

The good news is the Thumperhill's Ammadon is not sterile!!! Erb's Ariel kindled 4 healthy babies sired by Ammadon yesterday. I'm so happy! :) The last 6 or so times I've bred him, nothing. I'm pretty stoked! :P

Sable Point Babies

Ohhh how I'm starting to just love this color! My first Sable Point Jersey Wooly born here is WWR Honeybee, a doe born from Moe(Sable Point) and Pia(chocolate Tort) before both left us. (Moe went to Franks Family Rabbitry and Pia passed away of birthing complecations after givng birth to Honeybee.) Then, we had a pop-up of this little guy from Shakira X Mystic. Shakira is Siamese Sable, while Mystic is Smoke Pearl. It was cute to see a Sable Point baby in the box. Both parents have a sable point sire.

I took a few pictures of my Sable Point buck from Shakira X Mystic. I guess I have a sable point pair! At the moment, both complement each other really well. We'll see how they develop. ;)

There's a party in my tummy!

So yummy! So yummy!

I just absolutely love singing this to my bunnies. They seem to recognize it too when I give frosted mini wheats. Its absolutely cute to sing it while I make them 'dance' for their treat. :P

So you you moms may recognize this... it is from the show Yo Gabba Gabba which is kids show on Nickelodeon I'm a good fan off. Yes, I'm 16. But the show has so many catchy tunes, and cute songs I love to sing to my bunnies. The makers of the show are the Aquabats, who is a Ska band which I very much enjoy, seen them in concert once too.

Some of you moms may recognize this show or this tune. I couldn't help but post that my bunnies kinda well... love when I sing it to them. Most come to the front and start looking around. Of course, when its not hot. ;)

We lost one baby californian to the heat. I've been bringing them inside now to lower and hopefully eliminate that risk.

If anybody is interested, I'll be making banners and signatures again. If you are interested, please email lbbbrabbitry@yahoo.com I need monies to go to my convention room/rabbit shed fund. :P

I have a couple woolies and few fuzzies currently available. And more babies on the way. check out my sale page on my website! The link is in my links bar. Still taking convention 'reservations'.

Maybe I'll have something a little more meaningful to talk about tomorrow! Its sooo hot outside. Today I think it hit about 97*F. Yuck. Misters are on... So I doubt pictures. Besides maybe our roses and lowquats.

Got Jersey Woolies? (pictures!)

I got Jersey Woolies! Any heres a blog with some pictures. Though 98% of my blogs have pictures, here's a special blog for some recent pictures.

I do want to mention Ro Sham Bo has STOPPED chewing his coat! This stopped after I started breeding him more often. :) You can tell on the sides its gray cause he's eaten off the guard hair, but if you touch it is long in length and almost even. He'll be hitting the show tables soon... so hopefully he can get his 3rd leg of grand championship. :P

Tomorrow I plan on updating some of my site... I want to make a photo gallery page with sold bunnies, baby pictures, and maybe pictures from shows. If you'd like to let me know what you think about that, please feel free to post a comment. :)

One more thing before the pictures. Some of my emails are not going out and not coming in. So, if you don't hear from me, please resend. I might have to get a new email address soon... cause its been happening often. I'll try and clean out my box and see if that helps.

PICTURE TIME!!!

Dixon May Fair, B-52's, on the News, and babies.

Theres so much to talk about! I've been gone for the week at Dixon May Fair, as it is still in session, I will be home for good after tonight. Fair is one of my favorite times of the year. This year was great, and like every year, once its over I'm glad its over for the time being... Its the perfect amount of time(6 days) and its not too long or too short.

Photobucket
Can you tell Highfives wants to go home?!

This year I saw the B-52's playing live. I'm a good fan of their music, and was ecstatic to see them. They sound so great live. However, the bad new is I missed ZZ-Top because I missed my fur kids at home. If I didn't come home that night I wouldn't have seen them in 72 hours. It was just too much.

The next morning after the concert, Mark S. Allen came to the Dixon May Fair. My friends and I all got our animals and were on the news. I hope some of you saw me on CW31! I've been a HUGE fan of Mark so meeting him was GREAT. It was unfortunate the show was cut short~ as I was waiting for an interview, I was a little nervous with that big camera and wide shiny lens standing in front of me while Mark S. Allen counted down until live. But the show was cut short. Oh well.

Auction was good yesterday. I sold my 3rd place winning pen to my good friend Linda T. Thank you SO much Linda! This helps pay some of my plane ticket to get me to ARBA Convention in Kentucky this October.

This year I didn't do too much public display as usual. I was really busy with my own stuff and my friends cause I was helping her with her goat stuff, and of course, other rabbit stuff. This is a picture of one of my Californians from my meat pen named "Pepper" and my friend Kelsea's Holland Lop "Boogie". They sure were cute little guys.

Stockton Show ~ Updated Webbie!

Today was a long day. I have to say it was a good day though, besides the other family stuff that is going on to be left unsaid. My rabbits did pretty well and got good comments. Best of all it was relaxing, and I got to talk to several breeders for not just a little while, long conversations. It's been a while since a sort of 'Wooly Group' has formed and talked about several things. Well, atleast I haven't cause I'm usually busy and yada yada. ;)

It's come to my attension that our exibitor count and each show is lowering... lowering... Its getting rough for me as I'm a really competitive person(in a sense I like stiff competition, win or loose) but its just getting smaller. At this rate I'll be the only one at Stockton next show! The gas prices are OUTRAGEOUS and its very pick and select which shows everyone attends. However our Stockton show today was at 11 entries in youth where it was usual to be in the fifties count. What happened? I do know some of our friends have left the business.

I'm hoping and seeing more people getting interested in our wonderful breed a little more lately. I think its a wonderful thing. Our breed is so gental and easy-to-care for, the competition is GREAT where your not there all day, we show in groups which make leg access just perfect. Theres nothing like a Jersey Wooly in my eyes, I may love the American Fuzzy Lops but the woolies will always own my heart.

I went over several seniors, juniors, and babies helping some of our fellow members out. Our stuff we have out here in CA really is truly amazing! I know several of us Fuzzy and Wooly breeders are hitting it up in Convention in Kentucky(including myself). This is a checkpoint in preperation to our 2009 Convention in our own home state California. Come to the warm side(we got sun!). Though those who are not attending, it may be a dissapointment, but if we just stick side by side we can teach our experiences with others and give them the opperitunity we had.

I sold a few bunnies. I bought a new herd buck from Angel. I'm crossing fingers that I can get some nice babies from him, I've needed a herd buck for a little while now. I'm extremly low on bucks and not only that, a couple arn't producing and a couple are soon to leave. I'm buck short. I want to thank Angel a butt-load for this guy, he's going to fit in really well and I see "visions" lol. I'll get pictures of him ASAP when he finnishes molting, kk? ;)

Again Stockton was a blast. It got my mine set off some things and my buds will always make me happy. Of course talking about rabbits to me is like taking a kid in a candy store, its just so exiting and you get to discuss so much, besides the part where you want rock candy but momma won't let you have it, in the bunny tense.

Who's all ready for the PORTOLA VALLEY rabbit show? I know all of us Fuzzy breeders are always exited(out of our minds, huh?) Talking to our Wooly owners and exibitors, they already feel the vibe. When I talk about it I my hands go to my hair and move my hair around and I do some sort of dance, its just a way to express the exitement. I can't wait, and anybody who lives near or far really should honestly consider it. (triple show, beautiful backyard and location, laid back show, and yummy pot luck!)

And I'm still rambling. :P I had a nice day(must I say this 20 times?) I'll finnish this up now short and sweet. :)

I updated my website tonight. The Juniors, Nursery, For Sale, and Home pages are all updated. Tons of pictures on the Juniors/Nursery pages. Be sure to check everything out, take a look around and sign my guestbook. I LOVE those guestbook signings!!!

I hope everyone had a great day and those who have convention babies due right about this time have wonderful, successful litters and winners. :)

P.S. Sisily had two DOA kits today, it was obvious she had complecations. I'm glad she had them and she's okay. Can't wait to get something live from her!!!
