Your Hobby

I've dealt with much crap from the rabbit world, as does any breeder. I think when it comes down to competition of something we love, politics can get nasty.

I've outgrown stupidity and drama, and at the age of 17 years old, my eyes widen at the attitudes of some breeders (adults). This blog I won't write about the drama. It doesn't matter anyways. Why waste your breath on something that is worthless?

People will do anything to try to tear you down, manipulate you, any cheap thrill to make themselves look better. I've come to realize that these are not my problems, but theirs. I once heard, "If you can't think of anything somewhat true to say, your insecurities will get the best of you."

This is my hobby. My rabbits. My breeding program. Nobodies opinions really matter when it comes down to the bottom of it. Hey, I love my animals and I like showing them... and I think that is all that matters.

Home From Convention

We are home and safe from Convention. The bunnies are settling in well. It was a good week but have come home to much crap from another rabbit exhibitor. I can't find the words to write anything good or happy about this rabbit hobby... I'm utterly sick on what has been happening.

Quite often I go into full on rants of the garbage I face from showing my animals... I don't know if it is really appropriate. This is my blog, and these are my rabbits, but right now, I'm just too upset on why some people feeds off of tearing others down. Maybe it's their insecurities getting the best of them. Maybe it's just a cheap thrill.

Hope everyone is home and safe... bunnies doing well with good results. You can see mine on the homepage of my website.

I'll try to blog soon...

Convention Coming Soon

This month is flying by and I'm starting to feel the stress of Convention coming way too quickly... I'm excited but it's always nerve-wracking, leaving home, and this time we are going to have to hire a care taker. Always scares me, cause I'm the only person who cares for tends to my rabbits. I didn't breed any does because we've had experiences of does who abort their babies when strangers come into the rabbitry. I even have yelled at my brother cause I don't want him in there, nor making tons of noise around there.

I want everything perfect by the time Convention comes, but I'm freaking out on where I'm going to find the time. I think I'm going to have to call off work though I really need the money. Wah. What to do! :(

So Cal Photos (part I)

Sorry these photos are late! These are the photos I took last month when I traveled down south with my lovely friend, Teri R. of Sonshine Rabbitry. We had a ton of fun, picking up/transporting rabbits. We went right through L.A. and around through Julian, CA and into San Diego. After we had picked up 20+ Californian rabbits at Rob Fender's beautiful home in the mountain desert, we met up with the Coplin family to pick up a few more and went out to lunch with them. It was tons of fun and they are wonderful people with such pretty bunnies!

These photos will not be in order, but please enjoy! :)

Late Night Fuzz

When you're in a picture taking mood- you're in a picture taking mood. *Rarely* ever do I post photos that we're taken in my barn, at night, or with flash. Especially all three. LOL.

Well you're in for a treat! Tonight I just needed to snap some pictures, I couldn't resist. Well, they don't look terrible for just snap shots but I'm sure I'll be retaking them this weekend and get these buns all groomed up.

I do take photos every once in a while like this *just* to have on hand, just in case. The world NEVER sees them though, I think they are repulsive to my taste in my own photography. But which portfolio is perfect? ;P
