Our Stockton Winnings, Convention is quickly approaching!!!

We attended the Stockton, CA show last weekend, and did acceptionally well! I was showing a good amount of Junior Jersey Woolies who had just made weight. I have to say, I was quite proud to put on and take off my animals who were showing.

The numbers were AMAZING! The last Stockton show I remember the numbers being low and dissapointing. There were 45 Jersey Woolies in Open and 22 Jersey Woolies in youth, but only 10 Fuzzy Lops in youth which was a little low, but acceptional. I showed my Jersey Woolies(besides two) in Open. :)

Here are our results:

Show A (Youth) Fuzzies:
Lucky Lop's Addison- 1/3, BOV, BOB! (First LEG)
DTL's Lee- 1/1 BOSV
WWR Fives- 2/3

Show A OPEN Woolies:
WWR Little Steps- 2/2
WWR Whoa, Nelly- 1/2
WWR Estrella- 1/5! (First LEG)
WWR Jane Fonda- DQ, mismatch nails.
LeSages Shakira- 1/5, BOSG, BOSB! (Fourteen LEG)
WWR Abby- 2/2
WWR Raquel- 1/2, and close to the BOSG winner. ;)
WWR J1- 1/1 BOG

Show A YOUTH Woolies:
Wooligans Charmin- 1/2 BOSG
WWR Camron- 1/1

Show B Fuzzies:

WWR Estrella- 3/5
WWR Jane Fonda- 5/5 amazing comments
LeSages Shakira- 2/5

Show A YOUTH Woolies:
Wooligans Charmin- 1/2 BOSG
WWR Camron- 1/1 BOSG!

And congratulations to Desi who won BOB Open show A with WWR Sir Mix A Lot!!! (and man, am I stupid for selling him, but I'm so happy he couldn't be with a better owner! :D)

I brought home a super cute little Chestnut Fuzzy Holland from the Maki family. Thank you so much Sarah! She's a doll.

It was a busy but great show day. Of course seeing our friends was awesome too. I kinda didn't see the wooly gang too much because most of the day I was at different tables with my bunnies. :P

So, the other night we entered for Convention. I thought I was going to be nervous as I was making the entry but it was super quick and easy! I entered 8, two fuzzy lops and 6 jersey woolies. I'm excited! One month away... I hope everyone keeps their coats together. Nerve wracking! LOL.

I need to get you all pictures of our very few babies... :P I bred one more doe today, Wooligan's Kitty to WWR Sleeptalker. ;)

I bred a doe.

I can't quite come up with a clever title name, EVER. But I do want to share I caved in and bred a doe. I bred LeSage's Shakira to Thumperhill's Ammadon. I'm really really crossing fingers on this one!!! I pulled Shakira out yesterday, and noticed she was getting fatter than she has ever been. I couldn't risk her sitting any longer. For those who don't know, Shakira is our prized doe in the rabbitry.

Stockton is next Saturday and I have a lot to show and sell... Its relieving in just one week I may have my herd reduced atleast a little... I've also made the hard decision not to focus on my American Fuzzy Lops. I selling most of mine that are not pets(I have like 4 of them) and a Trio of show and breeding.

I've gone over most of my rabbits and making some tough choices on who to keep and let go... I guess its just playing the game. I'm sucking it up and hope I am making the right choices. LOL. Though most that are staying are my babies.

I know what you all are thinking, "Get on with the pictures, lady!!"

Where have I been?

Where have I been? I was on a roll with keeping my blog postings, all all of a sudden, I disappeared.

The reason why I stopped posting blogs, replying to emails, posting on forums, and all that jazz was because my parents took away my computer and obviously that goes for the internet too. My parents came to me playing video games and weren't okay with it, and decided I didn't need computer rights(?) Whatever.

I have some super duper cutie patootie agoutis in the next box right now. A broken chin doe, a broken opal buck and an opal buck. As long with some beautiful AFL babies, two broken creme bucks and a solid tort buck. Can you say bucks?

I got a little excited.

Right now I currently have 7 Jersey Wooly and American Fuzzy Lop crosses. They are only a couple months old, and I was starting to wonder about their ears. None of them are lopping, or showing signs of lopping. Well last night when I was feeding, I noticed a couple of Katie's babies starting to lop!!! I was starting to think- hmm. Maybe lopping is a recessive gene? I'm not really sure how to be certain on this though. Katie, the American Fuzzy Lop, has a tight crown, where daddy, the Jersey Wooly, has a "crown". I wouldn't be too surprised if this gene WAS recessive and if he DID carry that gene to make it possible.

So, who knows?! I just wanted to say I'm a little stoked that a couple of the babies are starting to "lop". I wanted to put them in my fuzzy lop breeding program.

off to work!

Susie :)
